NEW DELHI: Mumbai Indians skipper Harbhajan Singh won the toss and elected to field against Chennai Super Kings in an inconsequential match of the Champions league Twenty20 at the New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg on Saturday.

Both Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings have already been eliminated from the competition after Highveld Lions joined the Sydney Sixers in the last four from Group B.

The Chennai-based team started its campaign with a 14-run loss to Sydney Sixers and then suffered a six-wicket defeat at the hands of the Lions last Tuesday. Given the situation, Dhoni has to come up with something special to take his team through to the semifinals.

Mumbai too had a bumpy ride so far and are yet to win a match in the tournament. Coming into the tournament as the defending champions, the Harbhajan Singh-led side lost their opening match to Lions by eight wickets, while their next tie against Yorkshire was washed out on Thursday.
