IPL 6: Daredevils lose Warner early

NEW DELHI: Hyderabad pacer Dale Steyn struck in the first over to send back David Warner without a run on board after Delhi Daredevils elected to bat in the IPL clash at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium on Friday.

Scorecard

Warner (0) tried to drive Steyn but got caught at the mid-on by Anand Rajan.

For Daredevils, Virender Sehwag will make his first appearance in this season.

Having lost their first three matches in this year's league, and looking ragged and somewhat pedestrian, the team which dominated the league phases just a year back needs to win on Friday.

Their opponents are not the strongest side in the tournament but do boast of a fine opening attack, led by Dale Steyn who is partnered by Ishant Sharma.

The batting is being held together by the pair of Cameron White and Thisara Perera, both of whom can clear the boundaries with ease.
