IPL 6: DD lose openers after good start

BANGALORE: After a decent 43-run opening wicket stand, both Delhi openers Virender Sehwag and David Warner went back in quick succession in their IPL clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Scorecard

Firstly, Vinay Kumar took a brilliant return catch to dismiss David Warner (15) in the sixth over. In the next over Andrew McDonald got rid off Sehwag (25) to reduce Delhi to 43/2.

Delhi crossed 50 mark in 7.1 overs.

Sehwag was caught by Kohli at mid-wicket after his 23-ball knock.

Earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and elected to bowl against Delhi Daredevils.

Delhi have brought in Ashish Nehra and Ben Rohrer. Bangalore, on the other, hand have included Andrew McDonald and Jaidev Unadkat.

RCB have already emerged as a formidable force on the back of strong performances at home and Tuesday's day-nighter offers a chance to get back on track after their painful defeat to CSK.

On the other hand, Delhi will look to register their maiden win in the tournament.
