NEW DELHI: Opener Robin Uthappa reached his half-ton in 40 balls to give Pune Warriors hope for a big total against Rajasthan Royals in the IPL clash.

Uthappa slammed eight boundaries and a six in the process. However, he could not convert it into a big knock and got run out after scoring 54.
Just after Uthappa crossed the 50-mark, Siddharth Trivedi dismissed Yuvraj Singh to give Pune second blow at the score of 124 in the 14th over.
Kevon Cooper gave Rajasthan Royals first breakthrough by dismissing Pune skipper Aaron Finch (45) after a solid 97-run stand for the first wicket.
Finch and his partner Robin Uthappa frustrated the hosts and shared Pune highest partnership for any wicket in the season. Finch scored 32-ball-45 before getting bowled out by Cooper.
Pune Warriors got off to a solid start as both openers guided the side past 50 in just five overs after opting to bat against Rajasthan Royals in the IPL clash at the Sawai Mansingh stadium.
Rahul Dravid's men have won all five games played at the home ground and will be eager to put their campaign back on track when they take on bottom-placed Pune Warriors.
With the competition hotting up, it's important to win almost all their games, and after the loss against Kolkata Knight Riders the Royals will have to bank on their good home run to stay in the fray.
