Steyn strikes, Chennai lose Vijay early

NEW DELHI: After scalping Murali Vijay in the first over, Hyderabad pacer Dale Steyn struck again to get rid of Mike Hussey, reducing Chennai Super Kings to 45/2 in the Champions League T20 clash at the JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi on Thursday.

Hussey made 23 and shared 45-run stand with Suresh Raina before getting caught behind.

Steyn sent back Vijay on the second delivery of the first over without a run on board after hosts were invited to bat.

Both the teams are unchanged from their previous matches. Brimming with confidence after a perfect start to their campaign, star-studded Chennai Super Kings will start as favourites.

Two-time IPL champions, CSK boast of a star-studded line up with the likes of India skipper Dhoni, Murali Vijay, Suresh Raina, Faf du Plessis, Michael Hussey and Dwayne Bravo around whom the CSK batting will revolve.

Hussey, Raina and Bravo set up CSK's run chase the other day with some scintillating strokeplay and the trio would be eyeing a repeat performance against the Sunrisers.

Having failed in the previous match, Dhoni is due for a big knock in front of his home crowd.
