Argentina beat India 4-2 in Champions Trophy

NEW DELHI: India's bad run in the Champions Trophy continued as they suffered second successive defeat in as many days after losing to Argentina 4-2 in the Pool B match on Sunday.

Akashdeep Singh opened India's account in 30th minute but the hosts squandered their lead in the same minute after Lucas Vila scored an equaliser.

Gurjinder Singh made it 2-1 for India in 37th minute but Argentina again bounced back through Juan Lopez equaliser.

Agustin Mazzilli struck in the 49th minute to put Argentina ahead in the match for the first time. Joaquin Menini piled more misery on India by scoring in the second last minute to make the final scoreline 4-2.
