Edel Bete
The goalkeeper from Armenia is a difficult man to beat under the bar, ask FC Goa for testimony.
Kolkata were the league leaders in first few weeks but lost the plot and managed to scrape through to the semifinals and the final
Though Kolkata found it difficult to score goals in the second half of the league, they have relied on their solid defence to see them through to the finals
With the absence of Fikru Teferra, Kolkata do not have a striker who can strike fear in the rival defence
Kolkata used men in numbers to defend their citadel against Goa in the semifinal and the opposition realized how difficult it was to break them
The first XIs
Kerala Blasters have brought in Nirmal Chettri, Saumik Dey and David James for the suspended duo Gurwinder Singh, James McAllister and the injured Sandip Nandy. Atletico de Kolkata have replaced Lester Fernandez and Luis Garcia with Kingshuk Debnath and Arnal Llibert.
Iain Hume
The striker can set the cat among the pigeons but is a little short on ability to last 90 minutes.
The closing ceremony of the tournament starts
Kerala would also rely on ex-Newcastle United striker Michael Chopra to provide an extra thrust to their attack
Chennai showed that Kerala are vulnerable to sustained pressure as David James has not shown agility while Sandip Nandy has not shown consistency
Tendulkar vs Ganguly
Kerala might have a slight psychological edge, having drawn and won against Kolkata in the league stage, but that counts for nothing now as anything can happen in a final on that given day.
Though they have a few members of that department missing, Kerala are still capable of defending without the numbers
Kerala, who survived a torrid test against Chennai, will miss the services of defender Gurwinder Singh and Jamie McAllister while Kolkata do not have potent striker Fikru Teferra in their ranks
Both were at the opposite ends of the league table before Kerala's resurgence began and Kolkata started to slip
Kolkata won three of their first four games while Kerala managed just a draw in their first three games
David James is back for Kerala but Kolkata's Luis Garcia is on the bench
It is ironical that these two teams are in the summit clash, because their journeys to the final have been in stark contrast
Both Kerala and Kolkata bring their own charm to the contest, passionate following of football in these states being just one aspect of this intriguing contest
Welcome to our LIVE coverage of the grand finale of the inaugural Indian Super League in which Sachin Tendulkar's Kerala Blasters take on Sourav Ganguly's Atletico de Kolkata at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai
