Arundhati, Rasika in National Games badminton quarters

NAGPUR: Ace city shuttlers Arundhati Pantawane and Rasika Raje entered the women's singles badminton quarterfinals in the ongoing National Games in Kerala on Wednesday.

Representing Maharashtra, Rasika brushed aside the challenge of Karnataka's Reshma Karthik 21-11, 21-8 in the pre-quarters.

The left-hander will now take on top seed and home favourite PC Thulasi for a spot in the semifinals on Thursday morning.

Fourth seed Arundhati got a walkover from Anita Ohlan of Haryana. The defending champion will now face Madhya Pradesh teenager Shriyanshi Pardeshi in the quarters.
