NAGPUR: Top seed Saransh Jeswani, Atharva Bhede and Kshitij Joshi shared the lead with three points each at the end of the third round in the Nagpur District U-11 Open selection chess tournament, organized by the Nagpur District Chess Association, at the NIT Neighbourhood Centre, Surendra Nagar, on Saturday.

Saransh outwitted Arnav Kherdekar on the top board to maintain his winning streak. Atharva downed Harsh Sharma, while Kshitij got the better of Abhishek Ekre to join Saransh at the top.

In the girls section, Narayani Adane and Aashi Dalal are in joint lead with two points apiece at the end of Round 2.

RESULTS

Open (Round 3): Saransh Jeswani (3) bt Arnav Kherdekar (2), Harsh Sharma (2) lost to Atharva Bhede (3), Mann Dodeja (2.5) drew with Lakshya Hirani (2.5), Abhishek Ekre (2) lost to Kshitij Joshi (3), Harsheet Chandak (1) lost to Mayank Ranade (2), Devang Patel (1) lost to Kshitij Mudliyar (2), Sahil Soitkar (1) lost to Parth Lonkar (2), Harsh Bhutada (2) bt Ayush Saraykar (1).

Girls (Round 2): Diya Taori (1) lost to Narayani Adane (2), Krishna Mashwari (1) lost to Aashi Dalal (2), Sharanya Adane (1.5) bt Malika Adwani (0), Sakshi Lanjewar (0) lost to Riddhi Palorkar (0.5), Yashaswi Bhosle (0) lost to Tejaswi Bhosle (1).
