Bike riding is tougher than cricket: Yuvraj

PANAJI: Amidst the heat and clouds of dust on a bright afternoon at Vagator, secured in a thick jacket and helmet, Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh made a grand entry riding a custom bike designed by Autologue Design at the Goa India Bike Week at Vagator.

Sharing his first experiences with bike riding, Yuvraj said, "The first time I rode a bike, it was a Yamaha RX100. I had borrowed it from a friend and rode it all the way from Delhi to Chandigarh. When my mum learnt about it, she was upset with me for a week."

When asked whether he finds cricket tougher than bike riding, he said, "Cricket is something I've been doing since I was a kid. Riding the bike is more difficult. But biking means a sense of freedom where you're one with the atmosphere." Singh got a custom bike made by Mukul Nanda of Autologue Design and the two collaborated to launch the Youwecan KTM Bike called X12. The bike is currently being auctioned at the event; the proceeds of which will go to a charity to spread awareness about the stigma of cancer.

Singh said that he is considering being more actively involved with Autologue Design. He also intends to be part of the next edition of Goa India Bike Week.
